In a hazardous area the wrong motor is not just a performance problem — it is a safety and compliance failure.
Flameproof (Ex d) motors are engineered to contain an internal explosion and prevent ignition of the surrounding atmosphere. Underground and in gassy environments they are not optional.
Specification errors here are costly because the certification chain matters as much as the electrical rating. The Ex marking, gas group, temperature class, IP rating and mounting all have to match the installation.
Getting the full specification right the first time avoids the double cost of a non-compliant motor plus the downtime to replace it.
